Something I keep hearing from coaches and leaders right now:
“I’m doing everything right. And something is still missing.”
Coaches who are asking powerful questions, listening actively, showing up consistently, and still feeling like the real shifts aren’t quite happening. Leaders are attempting to do the same.
We have more tools to communicate now than we ever have. Yet our most important and needed conversations stay at the surface.
It seems like everything right now is about AI. Everywhere you look, you can’t stop hearing about it. There are the threats that if you don’t learn AI quickly and incorporate it as much as possible, you will be left behind. But what if the real risk is our human skills atrophying? Losing the ability to be truly present. To hold space for what’s not being said. To create the kind of connection that actually moves people.
Those skills don’t get stronger from using AI more. They get stronger from building emotional intelligence, including knowing when to go deeper, and how to recognize what’s really going on below the surface. When it’s time to go deeper, and how to know. These are skills we all need in our conversations, coaching, and leadership.
That’s what I want to explore with you on July 8th.
I’m hosting a free live training, Learn How to Thrive in the Age of AI, where we’ll get into the shifts you can make to help coaches create real transformation with their clients, and help leaders move past surface-level conversations into the kind of connection that actually changes things. For both, it starts with going below the surface of what’s being said.
